It is important that we determine your correct county of residence, as your county's commissioners provide the funding for student participation in the Central Carolina Promise/K14 program. Your home address on file at CCCC will be used to verify your country of residence; if your address has changed, please email admissions@cccc.edu from your Cougarmail account to request an update.
Central Carolina Promise/K14 is a "last-dollar" program. Eligible students must show that they have exhausted all other sources of funding before being approved for Promise/K14 funding. As such, students must submit a CCCC Foundation scholarship application and a current FAFSA to be considered for the program. Promise/K14 will cover the in-state tuition rate and required student fees for eligible students; we do not cover textbooks or other class materials.
Students wishing to receive funding through the Central Carolina Promise/K14 program must have completed a specific number of dual enrollment college credits during high school. College credit can come from Career & College Promise classes, or from AP/IB/CLEP/other college credit courses. Official test scores must be sent to CCCC.
